Lindsay Wagstaff

Lindsay trained with Dick and Elisabeth Walker and qualified from the Oxford Alexander Teacher Training School in 1990 and has been a visiting tutor on teacher training courses including the Alexander Re-education Centre, the Oxford Alexander Training School and the London Centre for Alexander Teacher Training. She had her first Alexander lessons at the age of 14 whilst at Chethams School of Music, and has worked as a singer in the music profession for many years.

The age range of her pupils past and present extends from 4 to 99 and she is experienced in working one-to-one and in groups, large and small. In her private teaching practice she sees people from all walks of life including professional musicians, sportsmen and women and many people referred by their GP. She has worked with military personnel and the military bands of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and the Welsh Guards.

In addition to her role at the Royal College of Music and in the RCM Junior Department, Lindsay is a regular teacher for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, Eton Choral Courses and Abingdon Summer School for Solo Singers. She is also a guest tutor for the Clerks and choral scholars of New College and Lincoln College, Oxford.
