Lucia Walker

Lucia qualified as an Alexander Teacher in 1987 after 3 years training with her parents Dick and Elisabeth Walker in Oxford and has 25 years of experience of teaching AT internationally to both individuals and groups.

She works with a wide range of people including children and people with chronic illness; working with performers is a particular interest and she works regularly with classical musicians, singers, actors and dancers.

In teaching Lucia likes to use games, discussion, touch, stillness and activity to explore Alexander's principles in ways that are relevant and enjoyable.

She is fascinated by how to use the technique to access the quality of presence and to become more integrated in feeling, thought, action and purpose.

She is known for gentle, clear and insightful teaching along with a sense of curiosity and playfulness.
